Implementation
We rely on a proven, collaborative approach to ensure the smoothest, most efficient implementation of your eSped solution.
First we assign a dedicated implementation coordinator to your project, who will serve as the main point of contact throughout the deployment phase. These professionals bring an extensive background in managing similar projects for districts all over the country. In addition, you'll be assigned an onsite eSped trainer. Typically, our trainers are former teachers or eSped directors who can help your own teachers get more comfortable with the technology-as well as answer any questions or concerns along the way.
It's important that we engage with all of your stakeholders-teachers, administrators, and IT-right from the start. Our kickoff meeting brings together key participants from eSped and your school district to set expectations and agree on a project plan. Topics covered include training, system integration, and data migration, all of which are critical to a successful implementation.
Training
The eSped solution is only valuable if people are using it. So it's vital that your teachers, administrators, and staff are properly trained on the system. We have modules designed to teach varying levels of users - from administrators who need expertise in the program and data management functions, to teachers who need proficiency in creating reports for student assessment and educational programs. And to help meet busy schedules, we offer flexible training options, onsite or online.
We want you to be successful and comfortable using eSped. So we're committed to making sure that everyone is enthusiastically onboard when your eSped solution launches; that's why you'll enjoy industry-proven training methods and the "comfort zone" of a practice site that offers all the tools and features of the real thing. Please visit our training page for more information about our offerings.
Integration
Integrating a new application service into your existing infrastructure requires a high level of technical expertise and experience. eSped's implementation team offers that. We're familiar with a wide range of technologies, student information systems, and state reporting systems.
Working closely with your IT staff, we'll review your operating environment and recommend an integration plan that takes into account your firewalls, student information system (SIS), desktops, ISP, and other factors. You're assured a seamless, district-wide solution that protects investments and delivers optimum performance. Please visit our integration page for more information about this service.
Data Migration
Also referred to as "data conversion," this is one of the last-and most important-steps in implementing your eSped solution. Our engineers use a thorough, systematic process of migrating volumes of student information from your legacy systems into the eSped database. Before the solution goes live, we post the data on a quality assurance (QA) site and perform rigorous testing to ensure the data is accurate and mapping correctly. Only after we've ported over all of the data and properly formatted it can we prepare your eSped site for launch. Please visit our data migration page for more information about this service.
eSped is experienced and comfortable partnering with both small and large school districts, where there may be more than 100,000 students in the general population. For larger deployments supporting upwards of 10,000 students, we recommend a phased approach to implementation, bringing portions of the population online gradually. We've found this greatly minimizes errors and helps keep the project on schedule.
